The O3SIS Unified Mobile Applications Platform

The O3SIS Unified Mobile Applications (UMA) Platform has been created to contain all the necessary standards, technologies and components for developing, installing, integrating and managing highly scalable Mobile Data Applications for CSD/GPRS and UMTS wireless networks. Many aspects of the O3SIS UMA Platform were designed especially for facilitating "on demand" or outsourcing deployments for customers who have chosen to use O3SIS software as a service from a centralized hosting center.

Built using a service-oriented architecture and based on the consequent use of industry standards and the Web Services integration model, the O3SIS Unified Mobile Applications Platform includes the following services:

High Availability & Load Balancing
The O3SIS high availability and load balancing services facilitate the reliable and cost effective implementation of very large, high-performance software systems serving millions of users and storing billions of records.

Branding & Customization
Using the "Fast Branding" tools included in the O3SIS Management Console, all O3SIS products can be branded to reflect our customer's Corporate Identity (CI). Within multi-domain installations, the CI and user interface language can be configured individually for each customer also within a fully shared infrastructure.

Multi Channel Content Adaptation
O3SIS Content Adaptation (CA) provides for an optimal user experience for nearly every mobile (WML, XHTML, cHTML, i-mode) device currently on the market. This extends the reach of O3SIS services to the largest possible target user base, and adds end-user value by providing intuitive and device-optimized user interfaces.

Resource Packaging
Flexible packaging of resources (such as storage or available functionality) and events (for example notifications or news subscriptions) can be configured using the O3SIS Management Console. This enables our customers to provide premium offerings to their end-customers based on either the pay-per-use or subscription models, and to fine-tune the product for each market segment.

Messaging Connectors
The O3SIS SMS, MMS and WAP Push Connectors provide an out-of-the-box solution for connecting O3SIS software to messaging gateways. O3SIS supports all established standards like SMPP or UCP and many extended functionalities like "Reverse Billing".

Billing Connectors
O3SIS billing connectors for pre-paid and post-paid operation ensure that the use of resources or events provided by O3SIS services can be attached to a price point and transferred to existing billing and rating systems.

Single-Sign On Connector
Seamless integration of O3SIS products into existing portals is facilitated by the O3SIS Single Sign-On (SSO) Connector, allowing the use of portal login and password also for O3SIS authentication. Several different standard connectors and authentication schemes are available, providing also MSISDN based authentication for all applicable channels.

Customer Care Console
Based on Web Services and J2EE technology, the O3SIS Internet / Intranet Customer Care Console is an intuitive, browser-based application allowing the professional support of end-users through call-center agents. A set of dedicated Web Services APIs provides for direct integration into existing customer care tools if required.

Operations & Maintenance
O3SIS Operations and Maintenance (O&M) functionalities are SNMP based and ensure that administration, monitoring, and configuration management of all O3SIS products can be carried out using standard tools such as HP OpenView. An extensive and configurable logging facility allows for fast integration into data warehouse systems and in-depth analysis of usage patterns.
