Management
The O3SIS management team combines many decades of business experience and technology expertise with an in-depth knowledge of the international telecoms industry. It has a proven track record in achieving targets and securing business in highly competitive environments, and in delivering most advanced solutions for today's and future mobile data markets.
Dirk Dörre, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer / Co-Founder
Dirk began his career in 1990 as project manager for large-scale projects at Quadratron, a pioneer and at that time international market leader in office automation software. Dirk delivered office automation as part of networked sales support systems connecting thousands of end users; an approach deployed by many leading insurance companies in Germany. In 1992, he put together an international team porting all of Quadratron's UNIX sources to Microsoft operating systems, producing a client / Server software deployed nationwide by one of the UK's largest financial institutions. In parallel, Dirk was responsible for building up and leading the Quadratron R&D operations in Germany. While serving as O3SIS CTO from 1996, Dirk was responsible for the development and design of the O3SIS Unified Mobile Applications platform, as well as for building the R&D department. Dirk was appointed O3SIS CEO in 2006 to lead the next phase of O3SIS growth.
Bernd Rützel, Chief Sales Officer / Founder
Bernd has a 20-year track record in the computer industry. Bernd founded his first IT company in 1983 with "Regie EDV Systeme", one of the first companies in Germany to commercially sell open UNIX systems and specializing in office automation. In 1988, he took over software distribution for Quadratron Inc., USA, establishing a German joint venture company and successfully selling software solutions to large organizations such as the Nordrhein Westphalian government and most federal ministries of Germany. Powered by Bernd's strategic sales strength, the two companies developed into leading suppliers of office applications and vertical software solutions in the German-speaking market; and provided a solid foundation for O3SIS which was formed in 1996 by merging Regie and Quadratron. Bernd served as O3SIS CEO from 1996, leading the company into the mobile and wireless market space, developing innovative business models, and negotiating several high-profile deals with first tier European mobile network operators. From 2006 Bernd is focusing exclusively on expanding the O3SIS sales organization as O3SIS CSO.
Ute Heymann, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operation Officer / Co-Founder
Ute has 20 years of operational and marketing experience with companies such as Ford Motors and AGFA. With a background in economics, she started her career managing the IT organization and administration of a German company with more than $20 million annual revenue. In 1983 Ute moved to CPT, one of the leading word processing companies at that time, to become responsible for professional services and later for product marketing. Ute later joined one of Germany's top marketing agencies, where she worked actively on the Ford, Volvo and AGFA accounts. In the beginning of 1989, Ute joined Quadratron and later held various executive positions within the company and became shareholder.
Barbara Fischer-Clark, Head of R&D
Barbara began her career in 1984 as an independent expert supporting the introduction of large-scale IT systems at the European Commission in Brussels, and in the following years advised many large European government and corporate organizations on various IT and project / process management topics. From 1999 Barbara worked as a project manager for the R&D and Professional Services group of O3SIS, and helped shaping the key processes, workflows, and methodologies enabling O3SIS to efficiently satisfy the needs of our demanding customer and partner base. Barbara heads O3SIS' R&D and professional services organization since 2006.
Supervisory Board
O3SIS has appointed a high-profile, active supervisory board providing legal and top management expertise from the telecommunication and software industry.
Dr. Stephan Witteler, Chairman
Dr. Stephan Witteler has extensive expertise in the management and governance of companies especially in the IT- and telecommunication industry. As equity partner of BEITEN BURKHARDT - a major German law firm – he is responsible for the firm’s IT & telecommunication practice. He is a renowned expert in ICT-law and Vice Chairman of the legal council of BITKOM (German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media). Stephan worked on numerous large ICT-transactions and gained his long-term experience also from top executive positions with leading companies in the industry – for instance during his five year term as member of the Executive Board of T-Systems International with the responsibility for inter alia the public sector, strategy & organization, M&A, CIO, procurement and legal. He was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of O3SIS in 2007.
Philippe Schuit
Philippe Schuit is the Managing Director of two venture funds, European Technology Holdings BV and Strategic European Technologies NV (SET). The funds hold approx 30 investments in a broad range of early and later stage technology companies located predominantly in Germany. Prior to this Philippe hold various management positions in both corporate business and the venture capital industry. Philippe joined the O3SIS board in 2005.
Norbert Neumann
As founder and longstanding CEO of the European operations of FileNET, the former world leader in document management software recently acquired by IBM, Norbert Neumann has many years of experience in developing and managing effective direct sales organizations as well as reseller and business partnerships in every major European market. Since 1998, he has focused on supporting entrepreneurs in the IT market by providing advice on business planning, financing, and market entry strategies. Norbert Neumann is an O3SIS supervisory board member since 1996.
